Register Now for Dian's Wellness Simplified Fall/Winter Naturopathic Course for a Certification in Holistic Health

Those interested in registering for Dian Freeman's Fall/Winter Naturopathic Certification Course, which is scheduled to begin October 9, are encouraged to send in their deposits now, as the course fills up quickly. Dian Freeman has been teaching her Six-Month Nutritional Certification Course twice a year for more than 13 years at Dian's Wellness Simplified in Morristown.

Originally, the course was preparatory to becoming certified as a nutritionist, but Freeman no longer recommends the title “nutritionist” because dieticians are now using it to designate their training, calling themselves medical nutritionists. They are commonly portrayed as the only nutritional experts who can work in the medical or institutional fields, while naturopaths, or traditionally trained nutritionists, cannot.  Freeman chooses to refer to herself as a holistic health counselor, though she was formerly known as a clinical nutritionist.

Among the modalities Freeman teaches are those that used to be thought of as clinical nutrition, based on optimal supplementation as developed through orthomolecular nutrition.  This is the opposite of how a dietician/nutritionist is trained.  Freeman combines this original nutritionist tradition with the newer approach of functional nutrition diets, herbalism, essential oils, flower essences, and many other effective healing modalities including vibrational energy tools.

In Freeman’s course, which leads to a designation as a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, or CHHC — and which is being used by many of her more than 600 graduates in practices of their own — participants learn how to regain good health by using food, supplements and drugless holistic practices.

Experience is the hallmark of Dian Freeman’s teachings: She has worked with thousands of clients over decades in her practice. She has also expanded her knowledge through courses in master’s and doctoral programs at Drew University. This combination of experience and training is unique and is what she shares with her students both in her Nutritional Course and in her individual day classes. Freeman also offers each student private nutritional consultations and business-building meetings, providing mentorship for as long as they need it. Her programs include personalized diet and supplement programs and, to address energetic and vibrational healing, Ondamed biofeedback sessions and multiple Electro-Magnetic Energy technologies.  She teaches and lectures nationally at conferences and holistic gatherings.
