We are thrilled to announce that Rekha J. Mandel, M.D. will be joining us at Chester Medical Associates. Beginning this November, Dr. Mandel will be providing primary care as well as lifestyle medical care to our patients. Dr. Mandel’s schedule is now open for patients who wish to schedule physical examinations, visits for sick patients, and follow up appointments for family members, friends, and neighbors.

Dr. Mandel brings an impressive background of training and experience to our practice. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2004. She completed her residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT in 2007. After practicing for 10 years as a hospitalist in acute care she now enjoys preventative care medicine. Dr. Mandel has taken care of patients in nursing homes and subacute rehab centers and for the last 3 years she has practiced primary care. During the past year Dr. Mandel has been specializing in lifestyle medicine at Atlantic Health System’s Chambers Center for Wellbeing in Morristown, NJ.

What is lifestyle medicine? It is the use of whole food, plant-predominant diet, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connection to treat and reverse chronic disease.
