Energy healing is the balancing of the energy field, or aura, that surrounds the human body. It is often divided into chakras. Chakras are interpreted as energy points located in different parts of the body, which influence our health and well-being. These energy centers regulate the flow of energy through our energy system. Chakras interact with the physical body through the endocrine and nervous systems. Each chakra correlates with an endocrine gland and a group of nerves called a plexus. Each chakra can be associated with particular parts and functions of the body.

Healing the energy field brings physical improvement. If the energy around a body part is blocked, there may be a corresponding physical problem. If the energy is smoothed out, the problem may be improved. Improving and balancing the flow of energy helps disperse blockages that can cause a range of physical ailments.

Energy healing can heal physically, emotionally and mentally. A positive perception causes the release of chemicals that encourage the growth and health of cells. Negativity releases chemicals that change cells to a protection mode. So any conditions that affect our minds and bodies can be helped by energy healing.
