The Awaken Wellness Fair, one of the oldest and most popular body-mind-spirit-green expos held in our area, returns to Fort Lee this fall for the third time.  The fair takes place on Sunday, September 27, from 10am to 5pm, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 2117 Route 4 East, in Fort Lee.

For 13 years this wellness-focused, educational and experiential event has attracted more than 100 exhibitors to locations throughout the tri-state area.  While the fair has grown from 42 people at its first event, in 2002, to 1,000 people in recent years, its goal remains constant:  educating the public about the variety of wellness services and products that are available.  The Awaken Wellness Fair has expanded from an annual event to seven events this year, in places such as New York City, Tarrytown, NY, Fort Lee, NJ, and Brooklyn, NY.  

Attendees are treated to a wealth of information about holistic modalities, some with their roots in ancient healing practices while others provide cutting-edge techniques. The fair features a continuous program of compelling 45-minute lectures, at no additional charge. These include “Music for Healing” with Dr. Peter Muir and “Manifesting Your Full Potential Workshop” with Michael Edley. The Main Ballroom features a wide array of vendors offering products and services including essential oils, nutritional supplements, organic cleaning products, and healing crystals and jewelry.

Intuitive readers fill yet another area, offering tarot reading, mediumship, angel reading, numerology, pet readings and more. Practitioners of Reiki, reflexology and energy healing are also on hand; discounted appointments with readers and healers can be booked online in advance after purchasing a fair ticket.
